Almost but not quite 42!

Trepidation 2009 is over, but it succeeded beyond our expectations thanks to the wonderfully good-natured Eclipse Staff and "Awesome" Brian Silber as well as to the enthusiastic fans who took the silly idea and ran with it creating a dealer's room, art show, anime screening and gaming room. Fandom, you did us proud.

In the end we had 38 members, including our wonderful GOHs and two off-site panel participants. In fact, things went so well that we are already hatching up new plans for the coming months!

In the meantime, while you wait to see where and when we will strike next, here are some extras about the con including some photos from the event.

Welcome

Previous Bittercons have been online events. We have taken it one step farther, into RL. We are a Happy Hour that turned into a 24 hour Con. We give you Trepidation 2009!

• What:
  A bittercon to celebrate/bemoan not attending SpoCon, Costume College, Pulpfest, and/or Anticipation (Worldcon).

• When:
  Friday 3PM, July 31st through 3PM Saturday, August 1st.

• Where:
  Hyatt Regency San Francisco.
  5 Embarcadero Center.

• How:
  Well... you just show up, really.

• Why:
  There's a bar and fans gathered together have a tendency to make things fun.
